The Purchasing Executive / Purchasing Assistant supports the procurement team in sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotations, and processing purchase orders to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, monitoring inventory levels, and maintaining accurate procurement records.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Source and coordinate with local suppliers.
  • Monitor branch stock levels and assist in replenishment planning.
  • Process purchase orders and update price lists.
  • Assist with product quality checks and discrepancies.
  • Support clearance of stagnant stock with marketing & branch teams.
  • Maintain accurate records in procurement systems (e.g., AutoCount).

Qualification & Requirements:

  • Diploma in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Minimum 1–2 years' experience in purchasing or stock control (retail/wholesale preferred).
  • Proficient in Google Workspace; AutoCount knowledge is an advantage.
  • Must be detail-oriented, with strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills.
  • Honest, trustworthy, and able to work under pressure.
  • Willing to travel occasionally for supplier visits or branch audits.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin will be an added advantage, as the role involves liaising with suppliers from China.
