About the role

We are seeking a Purchasing Executive to join our dynamic team at Kufong Therapy Centre Sdn Bhd in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing our purchasing and procurement processes, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and supplies essential to our manufacturing and logistics operations.

What you'll be doing

What you'll be doing

  1. Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and managing supplier relationships
  2. Preparing and processing purchase orders, following up on deliveries and managing inventory levels
  3. Analysing purchasing data, forecasting future needs and recommending strategies to optimise costs and efficiency
  4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and ensure timely procurement
  5. Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to all purchasing activities
  6. Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and relevant regulations

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the manufacturing, transport or logistics industry
  2. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills, with a proven track record of securing favourable deals
  3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make data-driven decisions
  4. Proficient in using procurement software, spreadsheets and other relevant digital tools
  5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  6. Proactive, detail-oriented and committed to continuous improvement
