About the role

Alam Kotamas Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor Executive (QS) to join our dynamic team in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. As a full-time member of our Construction division, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial success of our construction projects.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation for construction projects
  • Monitoring and controlling project costs throughout the construction lifecycle
  • Negotiating and finalising sub-contractor agreements and purchase orders
  • Reviewing and approving progress claims and variation orders
  • Providing regular cost reporting and forecasting to project stakeholders
  • Identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing value engineering initiatives
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal/regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
  • Strong understanding of construction cost management principles and best practices
  • Proficient in the use of quantity surveying software, such as CostX or Causeway
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
