About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Nine Five Resources Sdn. Bhd. in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our construction projects, ensuring cost-effective and efficient delivery. This is a full-time position that will allow you to utilise your expertise in the field of Surveying.

What you'll be doing

  1. Preparing and analysing detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
  2. Monitoring and controlling project costs to ensure they remain within budget
  3. Providing financial and commercial advice to project managers and other team members
  4. Preparing progress reports and presenting financial data to senior management
  5. Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  2. Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
  3. Strong technical knowledge of construction materials, methods, and cost estimation techniques
  4. Proficiency in using construction-related software and tools, such as cost estimation and project management software
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  6. Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
  7. Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in the construction industry
