About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Site Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Mega City Builder Sdn Bhd in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. As a Site Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our construction projects, ensuring their successful delivery. This is a contract position, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for construction projects
  • Monitoring and controlling project costs, identifying potential cost savings and implementing strategies to optimise expenditure
  • Negotiating and finalising contract terms with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Measuring and valuing work completed, processing payments, and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Providing regular cost reports and financial updates to project managers and stakeholders
  • Assisting in the resolution of contractual and financial disputes
  • Collaborating with the construction team to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of projects

What we're looking for

  • A degree/diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Site Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the construction industry
  • Excellent understanding of construction contracts, cost management principles, and quantification techniques
  • Proficient in using quantity surveying software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders
  • Adaptable and capable of working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
