Position Summary

The
Senior Sales Operation Manager
oversees pricing, sales, and promotional planning while managing forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking to drive business results. This role also leads the local Customer Service function, ensuring efficient and accurate order processing to maximize customer satisfaction. By fostering strong relationships with key customer teams, the manager gains critical demand insights. Additionally, the position is responsible for implementing and optimizing systems and processes that improve efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in sales operations. Leveraging data-driven analytics, the manager supports strategic decision-making to adapt to evolving market conditions and competitive challenges.

You will play an important role to:

1) Team Management

  • Plan, prioritize, and schedule the team's activities so resources are used effectively, work schedules and targets are met to ensure product/service standards at the highest quality.
  • Monitor the status of activities to identify problem areas and adapt procedures to improve the overall performance of the team.
  • Lead the Customer Service function for Peninsula Malaysia, ensuring that it is aligned with all processes across the value chain and it can take a proactive role to ensure swift, accurate processing of orders and execution of delivery.

2) Operating Systems & Administration

  • Develop and monitor the application/maintenance of all operating systems (Oracle etc.), including policies and procedures, operating structure, and information flow, making sure data is entered correctly.
  • Monitor pricing and trade terms in the system.
  • Liaise with functional managers (Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain) to ensure that sales administration activities are integrated with other parts of the business and appropriate for current and future sales and marketing activities.
  • Lead and implement multi-functional projects to bring continuous improvement in systems, tools, and processes.

3) Pricing, Budget & Forecast

  • Deliver pricing recommendations, including profit & loss implications and manage all customer price lists.
  • Ensure translation of forecast/budget to detailed monthly sales and marketing planning and secure follow-up.
  • Secure correct forecast input to demand planning.

4) Management Reporting & Analysis

  • Secure management reporting and analysis for the regional and commercial teams.

5) Strategy Process

  • Input and support the strategy process for the Malaysia business.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Customer Relationship Management, Communications, Business Administration or any other related field.
  • At least 10 years of working experience in Operational Management or Financial Management roles.
  • At least 10 years of working exposure in Commercial Sales or Marketing environment preferably in the FMCG industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong financial and commercial awareness.
  • Good communication skills both oral & written.
