The Role

Avares (M) Sdn Bhd, a leading specialty chemicals distribution company, is seeking a Purchasing Executive to join their dynamic team. In this full-time role based in Seri Kembangan, Selangor, you will play a crucial part in supporting the organisation's procurement and inventory management processes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, including sourcing, negotiating, and placing orders for a range of materials and supplies
  2. Maintain up-to-date supplier information and continuously evaluate performance to ensure optimal pricing and delivery
  3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to accurately forecast and plan inventory levels to meet production and operational demands
  4. Process purchase requisitions and orders in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures
  5. Liaise with suppliers to resolve any delivery, quality or billing issues effectively
  6. Contribute to the development and implementation of purchasing strategies to drive cost savings and operational efficiencies
  7. Assist in the preparation of procurement-related reports and analyses

What We're Looking For

  1. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in a similar industry
  2. Strong negotiation and supplier management skills to secure favourable terms and maintain positive relationships
  3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions
  4. Proficiency in using procurement software and ERP systems to manage the purchasing function
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  6. A proactive, detail-oriented and organised approach to work, with the ability to prioritise and multitask
