ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

BO Chargeman

  • Responsible for the plant's electrical system, ensuring safe operation and maintenance in compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for high-voltage equipment such as transformers, switchgear, switch rooms, power generators, and building electrical systems.
  • Assist the team in executing mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks as scheduled.
  • Support troubleshooting, repair, and modification of mechanical and electrical systems to ensure continuous and reliable operations.
  • Maintain valid registration as a
    Chargeman BO 11kV
    under the
    Energy Commission of Malaysia
    in accordance with the Electricity Supply Act and Regulations.

Utility / Facility Engineer

  • Develop and implement comprehensive facilities management programs, including corrective and preventive maintenance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve facility-related maintenance issues efficiently.
  • Coordinate and oversee facility upkeep, repairs, and capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects involving mechanical, electrical, civil, and general infrastructure (buildings, roads, roofs, drainage, firefighting systems, etc.).
  • Monitor maintenance costs, breakdown durations, and resource utilization to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain facility Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with ISO requirements.
  • Oversee new facility setups, including budget preparation, tracking, and commissioning.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with
    Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
    standards and applicable industry codes.
  • Prepare monthly facility management and maintenance reports, including recommendations for system upgrades and continuous improvement.
  • Lead and manage a team of Facility Technicians to ensure effective task execution and operational excellence.
  • Ensure all facility works adhere to approved standards, company safety practices, SOPs, work instructions, and policies.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Possess a valid
    Chargeman BO 11kV Certificate
    issued by the
    Energy Commission of Malaysia
    .
  • Minimum
    3 years of working experience
    in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to drive maintenance and project improvement initiatives effectively.
