Responsible for leading user growth and operations for the App in the Malaysian market. The role aims to significantly increase user acquisition, engagement, and market share through effective localization strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive User Growth & Acquisition Optimization:
- Develop and implement comprehensive user acquisition strategies for the Malaysian market, including (but not limited to) digital marketing, social media content marketing, channel partnerships, and offline campaigns. Continuously monitor and analyze performance across acquisition channels, optimize marketing budget allocation, and work to reduce customer acquisition costs.
Enhance User Engagement & Retention:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of Malaysian user behavior to build user personas and segmentation frameworks. Develop personalized engagement and reactivation strategies. Design and optimize user lifecycle management to improve user stickiness and repurchase rates.
- Focus on core business areas (flights, hotels, local activities) by planning attractive promotions and user benefits to boost transaction frequency and average order value.
Expand Market Share & Brand Influence:
- Build and strengthen brand awareness in the local market by developing culturally relevant branding and PR strategies. Monitor competitors' activities and market trends to adjust strategies promptly. Identify and pursue strategic partnership opportunities with well-known local brands, tourism boards, and payment gateways to expand market influence.
Promote App Adoption & Usage:
- Optimize App Store Optimization (ASO) to improve app ranking and conversion rates on Google Play and the Apple App Store. Design app-exclusive offers and user experiences (e.g., faster performance, exclusive discounts) to encourage downloads and establish App as the preferred booking platform.
Data Analysis & Decision-Making:
- Establish and refine a local market data monitoring system, producing regular growth reports and business insights. Utilize A/B testing, user interviews, and other methods to continuously improve product features, user experience, and marketing effectiveness — enabling data-driven decision-making.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in user growth or digital marketing; background in e-commerce, OTA, or internet industry preferred.
- Proven success in promoting products in the Malaysian market with deep understanding of local user behavior and media landscape.
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to independently drive growth through data insights.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Fluent in English and Malay; proficiency in Chinese is a plus.
