Japanese speaking Human Resource Business Partner at PJ

Job description:
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary HRBP for designated business units, building strong relationships with managers and employees.
- Lead and manage Industrial Relations (IR) matters including disciplinary cases, grievances, performance management, and investigations, ensuring fair and consistent practices.
- Provide expert advice on employment laws, HR policies, and best practices to management and employees.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and act as a mediator to resolve workplace conflicts.
- Draft, review, and translate HR documentation (e.g., policies, contracts, notices) in both English and Japanese where required.
- Partner with leadership to drive organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and talent management.
- Collaborate with HR Centres of Excellence (e.g., Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development) to deliver integrated HR solutions.
- Monitor HR metrics, generate reports, and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with local labour laws, company policies, and collective agreements.
Qualifications
- Education required : Diploma and above
- candidates with Industrial Relations knowledge or experience will be added advantage.
- Sound knowledge of local employment laws and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
- Fluency in Japanese and English (written and spoken) is required.
- Ability to manage sensitive matters with professionalism, confidentiality, and cultural awareness.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
