The Sorting Center Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily parcel processing operations within the sorting center to ensure smooth, efficient, and accurate handling. This role focuses on maintaining service quality, operational efficiency, safety standards, and effective team coordination to support the company's logistics performance.

Operational Supervision

  • Supervise and coordinate daily sorting activities to ensure parcels are processed accurately and on time.
  • Ensure full compliance with company SOPs, safety standards, and operational guidelines.
  • Support the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Assist in managing resource allocation to meet daily operational targets, especially during peak periods.

Process & Quality Management

  • Monitor parcel flow, identify bottlenecks, and ensure smooth operational processes.
  • Enforce quality control measures to minimize sorting errors, parcel loss, and misclassification.
  • Report and follow up on operational issues, ensuring timely corrective action.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and standardization of work procedures.

Team Leadership & Training

  • Lead and motivate front-line sorting staff to achieve performance goals.
  • Conduct on-the-job training and ensure all staff understand and follow operational procedures.
  • Monitor attendance, performance, and discipline among team members.
  • Foster a positive, safe, and teamwork-oriented working environment.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company safety policies.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and promote safety awareness among staff.
  • Respond promptly to operational or safety incidents and implement preventive measures.

Reporting & Communication

  • Prepare daily operational reports and submit updates to the Sorting Center Manager.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal departments to support seamless parcel movement.
  • Participate in meetings to share feedback, operational insights, and improvement suggestions.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in logistics, sorting, or warehouse operations, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Hands-on, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to work flexible hours or shifts when required.
