, with a long-established heritage and operations across multiple international markets. Due to strong growth in
Asia
, they are expanding their commercial team and are hiring a
Key Account Manager (Malaysia)
to accelerate market presence and revenue performance.
The opportunity
In this role, you will
manage and grow key customer relationships
across
modern retail and wholesale/distributor channels
. You'll own end-to-end account strategy, drive joint business plans, and work cross-functionally to deliver sustainable growth.
Key responsibilities
- Own
revenue, market share, and profitability
for the Malaysia market - Build and manage strategic partnerships with
key retailers and distributors - Execute the
Malaysia sales strategy
in line with regional direction - Develop and deliver
in-market programs
with regional/global marketing teams - Lead
pricing and commercial negotiations
to achieve targets - Drive
annual business planning
and run regular performance reviews with partners - Lead commercial projects across channels, customers, and retail activations
- Partner with supply planning / S&OP teams to support
forecasting and order fulfilment - Monitor market and competitor activity to identify opportunities and risks
Requirements
- Minimum
6 years'
Key Account Management experience in
FMCG/CPG
(or relevant consumer/food categories) - Strong understanding of
Malaysia's retail landscape
and an existing customer network - Proven ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively
- Track record of delivering against
sales targets and growth KPIs - Strong commercial acumen and comfort using data to drive decisions
- Hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Business-level English
