About the role

Reporting into the Senior Management Team, the Logistics Director role at Kim Teck Cheong Group Of Companies' is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the company's warehousing, storage, and distribution operations. As a full-time position based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, the Logistics Director will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic growth and operational efficiency of the company's supply chain.

What you'll be doing

  1. Developing and implementing comprehensive logistics strategies to optimise supply chain performance
  2. Managing and coordinating all warehousing, inventory management, and transportation activities
  3. Overseeing the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods from production to delivery
  4. Analysing data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements
  5. Fostering strong relationships with suppliers, logistics partners, and customers to ensure seamless operations
  6. Leading, motivating, and developing a team of logistics professionals
  7. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards

What we're looking for

  1. Extensive experience (4+ years) in a senior logistics or supply chain management role, preferably within the manufacturing, transport, or distribution industries
  2. Strong understanding of warehousing, inventory control, and transportation management principles
  3. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
  4. Proven track record of driving operational efficiency and cost savings
  5. Exceptional leadership and people management abilities
  6. Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements
  7. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
