About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Project Engineer to join our site team. The role is based mainly on construction sites and involves overseeing day-to-day activities, ensuring safety, quality, and progress targets are achieved. You'll be directly involved in supervising site works, coordinating with foremen and workers, and solving on-the-ground issues to ensure the job runs smoothly from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

1. Safety and Site Discipline

  • Follow all site Safety and Health rules without exception.
  • Make sure all workers under your supervision work safely and comply with site regulations.
  • Conduct daily pre-task briefings, explaining the work scope, potential hazards, and control measures before work starts.
  • Lead by example in maintaining safe and disciplined site behavior.

2. Site Supervision and Work Execution

  • Oversee daily reinforced concrete and structural works to ensure proper workmanship and compliance with specifications.
  • Plan and coordinate work activities to meet project schedules and sequence of operations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and ensure rectification of any defects or non-conformities.
  • Solve site problems promptly and coordinate with the Site Manager or Project Manager when needed.
  • Manage materials, manpower, and tools to ensure smooth progress and minimize downtime.

3. Technical and Documentation Tasks

  • Read and understand construction drawings, method statements, and specifications.
  • Prepare and update Shop Drawings and Method Statements when required for specific tasks.
  • Keep accurate site records, including daily reports, inspection forms, and work progress documentation.
  • Attend site inspections with clients, consultants, and QA/QC personnel for approvals.

4. Team Supervision and Conduct

  • Ensure punctuality and maintain good discipline for yourself and all team members under your supervision.
  • Monitor attendance, work performance, and safety compliance of all workers.
  • Uphold company rules and always act in the best interest of the company on site.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of site experience, preferably in reinforced concrete or structural works.
  • Strong knowledge of construction drawings, method statements, and site coordination.
  • Good leadership and communication skills to manage site teams and subcontractors.
  • Hands-on, practical approach to site work with strong problem-solving ability.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and site reporting.
  • Must possess a CIDB Green Card
