What You'll Do
Compliance & Governance
- Drive & maintain accurate records of disciplinary actions, grievances, and union correspondence for audit and reporting purposes.
- Support audits and internal reviews related to labor compliance and collective agreement implementation.
- Support the implementation of corrective actions following audit findings or labor inspections.
Industrial & Labor Relations
- Support the implementation and administration of Collective Agreements (CA) and ensure compliance with all labor laws and statutory regulations.
- Assist in negotiations, discussions, and consultations with Union representatives on employment-related matters.
- Prepare and coordinate materials for union meetings, joint consultative sessions, and grievance hearings.
- Monitor compliance with CA provisions and document any deviations or unresolved issues for timely escalation and resolution.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Assist in managing employee grievances and disciplinary cases, ensuring due process and adherence to labor laws.
- Partner with line leaders to foster a respectful and inclusive work environment aligned with company values together with the Union leaders.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to labor relations projects such as CA review and employee engagement programs.
- Assist in training sessions or briefings for employees and supervisors on industrial relations, policies, and workplace discipline.
Other Duties
- Coordinate and maintain records of Case & Court Cases trackers, Union–Management meetings, ensuring follow-ups and closure of agreed actions.
- Assist in the preparation of documentation for collective bargaining, grievances, and disciplinary cases.
- Conduct data analysis and reporting on industrial relations trends, grievances, and disciplinary actions for management insights.
- Support initiatives that drive employee engagement, communication, and morale of the workforce.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in human resources management, Industrial Relations, Law, or related field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in HR, with exposure to labor or employee relations preferred.
- Good understanding of labor laws, collective agreements, and industrial relations practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all levels.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and sound judgment in handling confidential matters.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
