Summary

Oversee on all electrical maintenance activity at site. Direct involved in supervising critical electrical machinery maintenance. Operates, inspects, and maintains mechanical and electrical equipment in assigned facilities to achieve most efficient results. Assures that equipment is being maintained in a safe manner. Minimizes down time through proactive performance testing and scheduled maintenance. To assist Chargeman B0 in building management.

Job Responsibilities

  • Involve in planning & to carry out preventive maintenance on facilities and building equipment.
  • Perform troubleshooting on facilities equipment.
  • Carry out daily log and identify potential abnormalities/ abnormalities of facilities equipment.
  • Monitor, check and ensure all systems and facilities placed under the care of the Facilities Dept. adequately maintained and supported for uninterrupted manufacturing activities.
  • Act as a first contact for facilities related issues on 24hrs basis.
  • To immediately inform group engineer in charge on any facility utility or system or equipment operational abnormality for immediate and timely remedial actions, and to institute and manage the situation with the implementation of containment measures to prevent situation from worsening or deteriorating.
  • Understanding basic concept of HVAC, Compressor, Vacuum, Process Chilled Water, Gas system, Building Maintenance, Lift, Aircon split unit & Electrical system.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects. Comply to latest Electrical Act and Regulation.
  • To perform / supervise the day-to-day preventive maintenance.
  • Perform hands-on routine day to day and preventive / shift maintenance work of as per schedule.
  • To involve in the Energy Saving, Cost saving & Improvement activities.
  • To involve in the Emergency Preparedness and Response team during an emergency.
  • Carry out in-house electrical works including maintenance, troubleshoot, inspection and testing as as-signed by the management.
  • Any other duties which may assigned by superior.

Qualifications

  1. Education level: Certificate in Electrical, Certified as Chargeman A0 or A1 by ST (Suruhanjaya Tenaga)
  2. Year Experience: Preferable 3-year(s) experience in facilities field, relevant experience in manufacturing environment is preferred Knowledge of Industrial Engineering standards and experience in solar is adding advantage.
  3. Capability: Possess good discipline, attitude and good communication skills.
  4. Skills : Must be able to prioritize and manage multi-functional task, to use and manage hand and power tools.

  7. Candidate must not be colorblind.

  8. Willing to work in shifts and especially on public holidays.
