MES Engineers (2 Vacancies Available)

Join a Smart Factory at the Forefront of Industry 4.0. Intretech Malaysia is part of a global smart manufacturing group with operations in China, Mexico, Hungary and Malaysia. We specialize in high-tech, automated production for consumer electronics, automotive and IoT industries. We are expanding our IT Team and are looking for experienced MES Engineers to drive digital transformation in our factories. As a MES Engineer, you'll lead and support digital manufacturing systems that connect machines, data and people in real-time. You'll play a critical role in optimizing production, traceability, quality and system integration.

Key Responsibilities:

MES Implementation & System Integration

  • Deploy, configure and maintain MES systems across production lines.
  • Integrate MES with ERP (SAP), SCADA, PLCs, barcode systems and IoT sensors.
  • Develop dashboards and real-time production reports.

Data Analysis & Manufacturing Intelligence

  • Capture machine-level data for real-time monitoring.
  • Analyze OEE, defect trends, downtime and yield performance.
  • Work with Process & Quality teams to improve productivity.

Troubleshooting & System Support

  • Resolve MES-related issues (data gaps, system bugs, connectivity).
  • Ensure cybersecurity and data accuracy across systems.
  • Provide hands-on support to production & engineering users.

Continuous Improvement & New Features

  • Enhance MES with new functions (AI analytics, digital twins, predictive maintenance).
  • Lead process automation and paperless manufacturing projects.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure MES meets ISO9001, IATF16949, and customer compliance needs.
  • Maintain SOPs, change logs, and training documentation.
Requirements :

Education & Experience

  • Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2–3 years' experience in MES, production IT systems, or smart factory projects.
  • Prior experience in electronics or EMS factory is a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin will be an added advantage, especially for communication with regional stakeholders and partners.

Technical Skills

  • Familiar with MES platforms (e.g., Siemens Opcenter, iTAC, GE Proficy, or custom MES).
  • Experience integrating MES with PLCs, barcode systems, and ERP.
  • Comfortable with SQL, databases, and basic scripting (Python/JavaScript is a plus).
  • Understanding of factory automation, OEE, SPC, and traceability concepts.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proactive, independent, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Able to collaborate with IT, engineering, automation, and production teams.
  • Clear communication skills (written and spoken English/Bahasa).
