SINOHYDRO CORPORATION (M) SDN BHD - KOTA KINABALU' is seeking a highly skilled Procurement cum Concrete Plant Coordinator to join their team in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. This full-time position is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a leading manufacturing, transport and logistics company.

What you'll be doing

  1. Manage the procurement process for materials, equipment, and services required for the concrete plant operations
  2. Coordinate the daily operations of the concrete plant, ensuring efficient production and delivery
  3. Liaise with suppliers and contractors to negotiate terms, manage contracts, and ensure timely delivery of materials
  4. Monitor inventory levels and identify opportunities to optimise procurement and inventory management
  5. Collaborate with the project team to align procurement activities with construction schedules and requirements
  6. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to procurement and plant operations
  7. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement or materials management, preferably in the manufacturing, transport or logistics industry
  2. Proven experience in coordinating and managing the operations of a concrete plant or similar production facility
  3. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers
  4. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with the ability to analyse data and generate reports
  6. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  7. Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards
