About the role

We are seeking Site Manager to join our team at 7DSM Projects Sdn Bhd, a construction company based in Perai, Penang. As a Site Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations and supervision of construction projects, ensuring they are completed to the highest standards and in compliance with all relevant regulations and safety protocols.

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinating and supervising the work of construction teams, including carpenters, masons, and labourers
  • Monitoring project progress and ensuring work is carried out efficiently and in accordance with project plans, specifications, and timelines
  • Identifying and resolving any issues or challenges that arise on-site, taking prompt action to mitigate risks and minimise delays
  • Conducting regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure the work meets the required standards
  • Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to the project, including daily reports, material usage, and safety incidents
  • Communicating effectively with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to provide updates and address any concerns
  • Promoting a safe and positive work environment, ensuring all workers adhere to safety protocols and procedures

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Supervisor/Manager or in a similar construction management role
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment, as well as an understanding of relevant building codes and regulations
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and respond quickly to changing site conditions
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, drawings, and specifications
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects and leading teams to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget
  • Certification in construction management, occupational safety, or a related field would be an advantage
