Job Vacancy: Safety Assurance Executive

Location: Klang Valley (HQ & project sites across Peninsular Malaysia)

Department: Centre of Delivery & Operation Services (CDOS) – ICT Division

Reports To: Manager, Safety Assurance

Employment Type: Contract (yearly renewal)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Assurance Executive to support our ICT Division in promoting and maintaining a strong Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) culture. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with HSE standards, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a safety-first mindset across all operations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Shaping (HSE System Development)

Assist in developing and reviewing HSE procedures, risk assessments, and documentation aligned with the HSE Management System (HSEMS).

  1. Servicing (Implementation & Monitoring)

Facilitate and deliver internal HSE trainings for ICT Division staff.

Coordinate both internal and external HSE trainings (ILSAS, NIOSH, etc.).

Organize HSE programs and activities such as Safety & Health Committee (SHC) meetings, Safety Day, and fire drills.

Conduct inspections on premises and projects to identify non-conformities and ensure compliance.

Manage and follow up on HSEMS audit programs.

Collect, analyze, and prepare reports on safety performance, incidents, and initiatives for ICT management, HSE Department, and relevant authorities.

  1. Safeguarding (Compliance & Liaison)

Facilitate incident investigations, root cause analysis, and propose corrective actions.

Liaise with government bodies and authorities such as DOSH, DOE, Fire & Rescue Department, and other regulatory agencies.

Oversee safety-related documentation, PPE procurement, and safety data management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, or related discipline.

Minimum 1 year of experience in site or operations-related safety and health.

Good understanding of Malaysian HSE legislation (OSHA, CIDB, EQA, etc.).

Added Advantage:

Familiar with ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 and HSEMS framework.

Holder of recognized HSE certifications (e.g., SHO, SSS, CePSWaM).

Proficient in Microsoft Office and online data reporting tools.

Professional Skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to promote a safety-first culture.

Analytical, detail-oriented, and highly responsible.

Capable of handling multiple priorities under pressure.

Able to present HSE findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Passionate about learning and staying updated on evolving HSE standards.
