Transport Trade Logistics Specialist (Oil & Gas)

Job Responsibilities:

Import & Export Logistic Management

  • Understand of import & export stature requirement for local & oversea markets
  • Execute, direction and coordinate as required for all transportation matters within organisation, vendors & customers
  • Plans, monitors and controls transportation activities include budgets, schedules & routes for incoming, permit application, exemption, outgoing and transfer of goods for the organisation.
  • Manage all forwarders / customer agents for local & oversea activities
  • Adapt and accommodate changes from time-to-time base on global requirements, local government regulation, or internal system change.

Customer Satisfaction Management

  • Assures commitments to customer are met, in accordance with contract.
  • Assures and seeks to improve customer satisfaction and feedback through consistent customer interaction, e.g. Communication, (phone, e-mail, etc.) and Customer meetings, kick off, review, etc.
  • Works proactively to set customer expectation to assure acceptance of timely deliverables even under challenging circumstances.

Resource Management

  • Manage Vendors / Suppliers for quotations and best cost.
  • Arrange vendors on resources for all local activities on deliverable include stuffing/unstuffing of goods, allocation of containers and import & export clearance documentations
  • Manage forwarder & counterparts on processes and documentation for smooth deliveries

Legal and Contract Management

  • Perform contract management and understand the company's standard terms and conditions
  • Understands project specific accepted terms and conditions base on legal Incoterm and obligation including awareness of risks of negative impact, performance and risk factors.

eProcurement Management

  • Work actively with a number of suppliers to obtain overall best possible purchase, in cooperation with the supply management functions
  • Coordinates/directs project transportation and logistics.
  • Reviews status of critical suppliers' progress and include in overall schedule
  • Initiates 3rd party inspections as required
  • Ensure the proper application of supplier's qualification process.

Job Requirements:

  • Min Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in relevant discipline
  • Possesses 4 – 6 years of working experience in managing logistics activities / import & export / warehousing
  • Ability to work with multi-project deliverable
  • Proficient in MS Office and SAP application
  • Excellent people skills and able to establish good relationship with vendors / suppliers / customers, and internal team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and liaise with Chinese counter partner in China.
