About the role

As the Facility & Engineering Manager at PERTAMA SPRINGROLLS MANUFACTURER (M) SDN BHD', you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operations of the company's production facilities and equipment. This full-time role is based in Pontian, Johor, and will be a crucial part of ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the manufacturing plant.

What you'll be doing

  • Oversee all facility and engineering operations to ensure smooth and safe plant performance.
  • Plan, manage, and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for machinery, utilities, and building facilities.
  • Lead and supervise the engineering team in daily maintenance and improvement activities.
  • Ensure all equipment complies with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Manage facility projects such as equipment installation, upgrading, and energy-saving initiatives.
  • Monitor maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and contractor performance.
  • Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and production disruption.
  • Liaise with relevant authorities on technical matters and compliance requirements.
  • Continuously improve plant efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in facility and maintenance management, preferably in food manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and safety standards is an added advantage.
