Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Accountant with financial services background to deliver accurate reporting, ensure compliance, and support key decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute daily bookkeeping and accounting tasks for 
    SME and corporate entities
    , including managing accounts payable/receivable, recording financial transactions accurately, conducting bank reconciliations, and maintaining full set of accounts.
  • Prepare consolidated group financial reports and support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and contribute to strategic financial planning and variance analysis for 
    SME operations and group-level entities
    .
  • Identify and reconcile discrepancies in financial statements to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), SME reporting requirements (where applicable), and applicable tax regulations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies to ensure timely submission, reporting, and compliance.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong bookkeeping skills: maintaining accurate ledgers, recording daily transactions, and handling full set of accounts for 
    SME and corporate clients
    .
  • Proficient in accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, billing, and bank reconciliations.
  • Ability to prepare consolidated financial reports and support month-end/year-end closing.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic financial planning.
  • Understanding of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), 
    SME reporting requirements
    , GST/SST, and tax compliance.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in financial data management.
  • Good communication skills, with ability to coordinate with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to speak, read, and write Mandarin.
  • Professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA), Bachelor's Degree, or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant bookkeeping and accounting experience, 
    preferably with exposure to SME accounting environments
    , financial services, or digital payments industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
