Field Service Engineer

About the role

Strateq Group, a leading provider of innovative technology solutions, is seeking motivated Field Service Engineers to join our team. This full-time position involves providing exceptional on-site technical support and maintenance services to our valued clients within the Klang Valley region.

Responsibilities

• Provides onsite support for system breakdowns, maintenance jobs, and discretionary services to the company's clients.
• Performs system upgrades, corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance, and hybrid mode support for the client's Retail Automation System and in-scope peripheral equipment.
• Corrective maintenance jobs include, but are not limited to, system recovery, database restoration, network and connection restoration, root cause investigation of system problems, monitoring and inspection, system configuration, and part replacement.
• Preventive maintenance jobs include, but are not limited to, system equipment health checks, minor patch upgrades, functionality tests of system equipment, cleaning and tidying of system equipment, and adjusting system equipment cabling.
• Hybrid mode support includes, but is not limited to, hardware and software diagnostics, configuration, investigation, and report analysis via remote support tools.
• Discretionary services include, but are not limited to, various ad-hoc tasks (e.g., pump replacement, equipment relocation, site surveys, etc.) and new site setup.
• Troubleshoots, diagnoses, resolves, and rectifies malfunctions and issues within the client's Retail Automation System and service scope.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in IT or a related field, or two years of experience in a related industry.
• Lifts heavy equipment/devices (approximately 10 kg), stands for long hours, and performs tasks in the forecourt area, server room, counter, and client site.
• Understand clients' complaints and issues regarding the Retail Automation System and provide appropriate solutions and attention.
• Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with customers, reporting officers, and stakeholders.
• Adapts to flexible shifts and locations, works extended hours, travels long distances, and adjusts to changing work schedules based on operational needs and exigencies.
• It may require to reside or be based at customer premises for extended periods to provide effective support and ensure optimal service delivery.
• Complete and obtain certification for any mandatory safety passport or training.
• Must possess a strong spirit of teamwork, a positive attitude, good discipline, and demonstrate full compliance with the SOPs established by the company and management.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle (car).

Additional Information

• Basic Salary: From RM2,600.00 onwards (Depends Commensurate with qualification and experience)
• Fixed car allowance: RM 750 per month
• A petrol card is provided and used for any official mobilization and traveling.
• Handphone allowance: RM 85 per month (Credited to your monthly salary automatically.) ***With the requirement must be reachable via voice and data.
