Position - Technical Expert

Job Description.

Profile:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Has more than 5 years' working knowledge in Transmission High Voltage Products and Services.
  • Strong engineering background on electrical substation design, installation, testing and commissioning.
  • Has experience as a Field Engineer on HV Transmission Solutions and Service projects.
  • Solid understanding of safety requirements working with HV equipment.
  • Relevant technical training & exposure in High Voltage equipment for AIS and GIS.
  • Comfortable handling challenging technical related topics and working with different Stakeholders, Cultures and time zones.

Responsibilities:

  • As part of a cross-functional team, able to work in a high-energy environment, high pressure situation to quickly support, evaluate, clarify and resolve any technical challenges
  • Collaborate with technical specialists to capture process knowledge and translate it into structured, visual and user-friendly documentation.
  • Prepare technical documents such as manpower loading, method statement, engineering drawings as needed. Ability to review and markups primary and secondary design drawings.
  • Act as the link between Field Service, Engineering, Bid & Sales and Operations
  • Takes the technical/engineering role
  • Participating in Customer discussions/clarifications/negotiations
  • Provides additional ideas for upselling topics within the offers as an option/ and or during execution
  • Conduct audit and assessment to Siemens Energy Install base.
  • Provides support, where it is necessary to both local & regional projects before, during and after project execution

Software skills:

  • Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point).
  • Adobe Acrobat Pro / PDF XChange – for advanced PDF handling and editing.
