Planning Executive

Sika was first established in Malaysia in 1989 and full operations commenced in 1991 through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Sika Kimia Sdn Bhd, with the completion of its local head office and production plant in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan.  Since then, the company has gained a leading position in the country with the acceptance and endorsement of its products for construction and industrial applications by local and international proponents.

In the Construction sector, our business activities cover the full spectrum of project types ranging from infrastructural development to buildings, from institutional facilities to manufacturing plants.  We service our direct customers – concrete producers, contractors and distributors – and stay close to them through our central sales & marketing office in Petaling Jaya and a network of sales offices in Penang, Johor Bahru, Kuantan, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu.  In 2014 our presence in the Malaysian construction continued to grow when our Ipoh Plant was built and running to meet customer demands.

In Malaysia, our Industry Division is the clear market leader in the automotive glass replacement sector (AGR) and the "Sikaflex" brand is instantly recognized as a mark for quality, reliability and performance.  In the automotive OEM sector, we are the approved supplier to top German car markets such as Mercedes Benz and BMW.  Meanwhile, Sika leads the field in total bonding, sealing, damping, reinforcing and protection solutions for bus, truck and rail vehicle manufacturing, and for the assembly of appliances, industrial equipment and building components.

Sika Kimia Sdn Bhd currently employs more than 340 people in Sales & Marketing, Technical Service, Finance, HR & Administration, Laboratory, Production, Purchasing, Customer Service and Warehouse.

a. Main

• To run and monitor the MRP, updating forecast into IBP.
• Prepare monthly stock report.
• Order for Target market- Industry for the first week of the month.
• To participate/ chair in the monthly Demand Review Meeting, Sales & Operations Planning meeting with Japan.
• To implement plans to ensure orders meet specified quality and delivery times, to minimize the total cost of purchases and inventory level, and to maximize the customer case fill.
• To work closely with Target Market Managers & Sales Representatives in defining the rolling sales forecast and projects.
• To constantly control inventory level (Trading and Nilai plant) to achieve desired ONWC.
• To control and follow up replenishment and planning-related Purchase Orders in SAP system.
• To identify slow-moving items in coordination with the Warehouse Manager and communicate accordingly with the Target Market Managers for them to take action.
• To establish supplier base in conformance with guidance from Target Market Managers and in coordination with the Procurement department.
• Follow up closely with procurement/supplier for on-time delivery.
• Update customer Service Team/ Target Market Manager on stock readiness date.
• To participate in the stock count.

b.   Others

• Any other tasks are assigned from time to time.

c.     Security

• To maintain Sika information with appropriate secrecy and adhere to policies regarding confidential information.
•  To always maintain confidentiality of formulation.

d.    Limitations of Authority

• No purchase of equipment and/or materials without approval from Senior Purchasing Manager / Operations Manager / General Manager as per MOA.

Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Manufacturing.

• Able to work with minimum supervision.

• 1-2 years working experience in planning / manufacturing.

• Good communication skill in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Teamwork oriented.
• Knowledge of ERP system (SAP, IBP, etc.).
• Microsoft Office intermediate level (Excel, Power Point, Word)
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good organizational skills and able to handle pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Understand how the different KPIs impact in the company overall.
