Overview

The Project Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all land development and ancillary building works within the an agricultural hub development. This role requires strong knowledge of Malaysian land development regulations, construction processes, permitting, and farm-related infrastructure. The Project Manager will act as the main coordination point between consultants, authorities, vendors, and the internal project team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute the project timely and ensure cost-effective delivery
  • Oversee site supervision, complying with approved drawings, safety standards, and project specifications.
  • Manage project scheduling, critical path tracking, progress reporting, and risk management.
  • Review and certify contractor progress claims and overall cost management .
  • Conduct regular site meetings and prepare minutes, action plans, and follow-ups.
  • Review master plans, engineering drawings, building layouts, and infrastructure designs.
  • Provide technical comments and required revisions.
  • Coordinate with architects, planners, civil & structural, and, M&E engineers, and various vendors.
  • Prepare and manage RFQ package, VO, and site instructions.
  • Manage land development compliance requirements (earthworks, drainage, utilities, access roads, BOMBA, local council approvals, etc.).
  • Ensure environmental, safety, and sustainability standards are implemented.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Urban Planning, or related field
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in land development, construction management, or large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Proven track record coordinating consultants, contractors, and government authorities
  • Strong understanding of Malaysian land development regulations, permitting processes, and building requirements
  • Strong vendor and contractor management skills
  • Ability to review, and evaluate technical drawings and plans
  • Proficient in project scheduling
  • Excellent problem-solving and site management abilities
  • Strong leadership with hands-on, proactive site management approach
  • Solution-oriented mindset with ability to make timely decisions
  • Based primarily at the project site in JB, with on-site presence required
  • Must be willing to work outdoors and in agricultural or construction environments
  • Occasional extended working hours depending on project demands
  • Travel to consultant offices, government departments, and vendors as needed
