About the role

Join us at the forefront of innovation as a Data Center Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical), where you'll play a key role in delivering a high-profile hyperscale data center project in Malaysia. This is an exciting new role rather than a replacement for existing staff.

What you'll be doing

  1. Provide technical advice to client on Data Center MEP commissioning services.
  2. Review design documentation.
  3. Lead a commission team for commissioning (Cx) activities such as Factory Acceptance Testing, Pre-Start Up Testing, Performance Testing, Functional Testing, Integrated Systems Testing for Data Center project.
  4. Develop and execute comprehensive commissioning plans, commissioning programme, test scripts, method statements and Cx related activities.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate the integration and testing of various systems.
  6. Review contractor method statements.
  7. Review manufacturer test scripts.
  8. Produce weekly and monthly commissioning progress reports.
  9. Document all commissioning activities and findings, and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.
  10. Collaborate with client and other disciplines to understand and develop the Data Center electrical and mechanical designs, from basis of design (BOD) to issue for constructions (IFC) for Data Center project including problem solving.
  11. Develop designs and calculations which meet or exceed client's quality requirements and Uptime Institutes Tiering requirements.
  12. Perform engineering audit, review, analysis of design to meet concurrent maintainable or fault tolerance.

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  2. Minimum 2 years' relevant experience in Data Center commissioning, Data Center M&E design or similar mission-critical facilities.
  3. Extensive knowledge of electrical, mechanical systems commonly found in Data Centers.
  4. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  5. Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  6. Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
