Role Description

This full-time, on-site role based in Petaling Jaya requires a Senior Business Development Analyst to support strategic decision-making by managing internal performance reporting (MIS) and conducting external market research on key industries, commodities and competitors.

*Please note that this is not a data science role. The ideal candidate should possess strong financial and business analysis capabilities instead of programming skills.

Key Accountabilities

  • Business & Financial Analysis
  • Consolidate & interpret performance results to highlight profitability trends and key financial drivers of the group.
  • MIS Reporting & Data Analysis
  • Manage the group's Management Information System (MIS) dashboards and performance tracking tools.
  • Market & Industry Research
  • Conduct market / competitor studies for chemicals, raw materials and downstream products relevant to the Group.
  • Presentation & Communication
    -Prepare clear & compelling reports, dashboards and presentation decks for management meetings and board level discussion.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or business with strong financial analysis components is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate financial data and market trends.
  • Proficiency in market research and developing insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for delivering insights and recommendations to various stakeholders.
  • Understanding of finance principles and expertise in financial analysis to assess business opportunities.
  • Experience in developing strategies aligned with organizational goals and industry trends is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
