Senior Business Analyst

Work Location: IOI City, Putrajaya

Work Arrangement: Fully onsite, Monday to Friday (5 days a week)

Experience Level:
Minimum 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with exposure to Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies. Prior experience in software development is an advantage.

Industry Background:
Experience in finance, banking, or insurance is preferred.

Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Finance, or Banking.
Professional certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, ECBA, or PMP are an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and understand business requirements; translate them into functional specifications, test scenarios, and execute system testing.

• Develop and document detailed business and functional requirements for IT projects involving multiple applications (Java/Angular and COBOL environments).

• Provide functional and technical support to business users and assist in issue analysis and resolution.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams — developers, designers, and project managers — to deliver effective business solutions.

• Identify and evaluate business processes in the banking and finance domain to recommend improvements and optimizations.

• Contribute to the development of project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring deliverables align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

• Work closely with quality assurance, infrastructure, and data management teams to ensure stable and efficient operations.

Required Technical Skills:

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in IT development within the banking or financial services sector.

• Solid understanding of Java, COBOL, and Angular technologies.

• Working knowledge of SQL for data analysis and validation.

• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and testing repositories (e.g., Squash).

• Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies — Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.

Additional Advantage:

• Experience in production support or providing functional assistance to business users.

• Ability to work with global teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders across regions.
