About the role

We are seeking an Accounts Executive to join our team at KTI Landmark Berhad in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. This full-time role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting functions of the company, ensuring accurate financial records and timely reporting.

What you'll be doing

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle daily accounting tasks including data entry, invoice processing, payment vouchers, and journal entries.
  • Prepare and maintain accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) records.
  • Perform month-end closing, including preparation of journal adjustments, accruals, and reconciliation schedules.
  • Prepare bank reconciliation and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Monitor petty cash, staff claims, and company expenses.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and budgets.
  • Ensure all accounting documents are properly filed and maintained.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and other external parties when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and statutory requirements.

What we're looking for

  1. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  2. Minimum 2–3 years of relevant working experience.
  3. Strong experience in month-end closing and reconciliation.
  4. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Autocount, MHW Accounting or similar).
  5. Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines.
  6. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
