Job Description:

The Account Executive is responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks to support the Account/Finance Department. This role ensures accurate recording of financial transactions, maintains general ledgers, assists in financial reporting, and supports month-end and year-end close processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update accurate financial records, ledgers, and supporting documents.
  • Process supplier invoices, staff claims, payments, and expenses in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and arrange payments (cheques, online transfers, petty cash disbursements, etc.).
  • Assist in payroll processing and basic tax/statutory computations (EPF, SOCSO, PCB, etc.).
  • Perform bank reconciliations and investigate any variances or discrepancies.
  • Ensure all transactions comply with company policies, internal controls, and relevant financial regulations.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the finance team, including filing, data entry, and documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports as required.
  • Support other ad-hoc tasks and assignments within the finance department.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
  • Minimum 1-2 years relevant working experience.
  • Proficient in accounting software (i.e. AutoCount or similar), Microsoft Office Tools and any AI tools (i.e. ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and others).
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
