Panache Hotel Group (PHG) is a dynamic and rapidly expanding hotel management company specializing in short-term accommodations, hotels, and independent serviced apartments. With headquarters in Western Australia, PHG currently operates five distinguished hotels across Perth and Melbourne, with more exciting developments underway.

We are now seeking a Hotel Finance Manager to join our leadership team. This is a remote, work-from-home position based in Malaysia, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to PHG's financial operations and growth strategy.

About the Role

The Hotel Finance Manager will oversee the full finance function for multiple hotels within the group. You will work closely with Australian-based management to ensure accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and efficient processes across all properties.

This role requires a detail-oriented, analytical, and highly reliable professional with strong hotel finance experience.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly P&L statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, and variance analysis
  • Consolidate financial results across all hotels
  • Present financial insights and recommendations to the executive team

Accounts & Reconciliation

  • Oversee AP, AR, payroll data verification, and banking reconciliations
  • Monitor daily revenue, PMS & POS reconciliation, and cash flow movements
  • Liaise with Australian accounting firms when required

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Support annual budgeting and rolling forecasts
  • Analyse performance trends and cost-saving opportunities
  • Conduct benchmarking and KPI monitoring (ADR, OCC, RevPAR, GOP, etc.)

Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and Australian accounting standards
  • Strengthen internal controls and audit readiness
  • Monitor GST, BAS data accuracy (no filing required—handled by AU team)

Operational Support

  • Work closely with hotel managers on financial clarity and spending discipline
  • Review procurement, payroll hours, and operational cost structures
  • Assist in building automated financial processes and dashboards
Requirements

Essential

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hotel finance or hospitality accounting
  • Strong understanding of hotel KPIs and industry metrics
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Xero preferred), Excel & financial modelling
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • High attention to detail, accountability, and independence
  • Able to work remotely without supervision
  • Able to work in alignment with Australian time zones when required

Preferred

  • Experience with PMS systems (Opera, Newbook, RMS, or similar)
  • Experience working with Australian companies or multinational teams
  • Familiar with AP automation, reporting tools, or BI dashboards
