About the role

GC Forwarding Services Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Finance Manager or Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team in Klang, Selangor. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a vital role in overseeing the company's financial accounting and reporting functions. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to work for a leading provider of forwarding and logistics services.

What you'll be doing

  1. Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
  2. Overseeing the accounts payable and receivable processes
  3. Managing the company's cash flow and liquidity
  4. Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations
  5. Providing financial insights and recommendations to support business decision-making
  6. Supervising and mentoring the finance team
  7. Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
  8. Liaising with auditors and other external stakeholders

What we're looking for

  1. Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  2. ACCA, CPA or other relevant professional qualification
  3. Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar finance role, preferably within the logistics or transportation industry
  4. Strong understanding of financial accounting, reporting and compliance
  5. Proficient in using financial software and spreadsheet applications
  6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
