ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES:

Will be responsible for supporting the finance department in day-to-day financial operations and requires managing accounting processes, preparing financial reports, overseeing budgeting and forecasting, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing financial insights to aid strategic decision-making.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN:

  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Track production costs and inventory management to ensure efficient cost control.
  • Support cost allocation, product costing, and profitability analysis for the manufacturing processes.
  • Review and manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Oversee reconciliation of accounts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Assist in preparing detailed budgets for different departments, ensuring they align with organizational goals.
  • Ensure adherence to financial controls and company policies to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist in monitoring cash flows and recommend adjustments for working capital management.
  • Work closely with other departments, including production, sales, and operations, to align financial data with business activities.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the Management from time to time.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (Professional certification, ie: ACCA, CIMA) are a plus.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of working experience in finance or accounting, preferably in manufacturing or similar industries.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, preferably in SAP (an added advantage)
  • Language: English, Bahasa Malaysia & Mandarin (added advantage).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
