A reputable IT services firm based in Kuala Lumpur, established in 2012, providing consulting, software development, and systems integration. It specializes in custom web and mobile applications, API development, data analytics, and workflow automation for industries like healthcare, telecom, and utilities. The company promotes a culture of openness, trust, and innovation.

They are seeking an experienced IT Network Specialist to work closely with teams and end users to understand technical requirements, provide accurate estimates, and identify improvement opportunities—particularly in Azure networking, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain documentation related to network/cloud design, deployment, and configuration
  • Drive the implementation of new technical solutions within Azure, ensuring secure and scalable deployments
  • Be part of a Network Teams whereby you are required to support an Enterprise network with a primary focus on Business as usual (BAU) and project support across all of our Network Systems
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts, incident resolution, and performance optimisation within the cloud environment
  • Take full ownership of day-to-day support tasks, working to meet and exceed defined SLAs

Requirements

General Experience:

  • Strong background in resolving infrastructure issues and delivering upgrades in cloud or hybrid environments
  • Skilled in designing and implementing solutions using Azure-native services and automation
  • Solid experience as a network engineer in enterprise hybrid setups (on-premise + Azure)
  • Ability to explain complex cloud networking concepts to technical and non-technical audiences

Technical Skills:

  • Microsoft Azure IaaS: Virtual Networks, VPN Gateways, Firewalls, NSGs, Load Balancers, VWAN
  • Infrastructure as Code: ARM templates, Bicep, or similar
  • Networking: OSPF, BGP, static routing
  • Automation/Scripting: PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python
  • Cisco networking (routers, switches, wireless)
  • IPSec VPNs, remote access solutions
  • Security: FortiGate NGFW, Cloudflare
  • Load balancing: Cloudflare, HAProxy
