About the role

Zalam Corporation Sdn Bhd, a leading construction company, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Site Safety Supervisor to join our team in Kapar, Selangor. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of our construction site personnel, aligning with our commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards.

What you'll be doing

  1. Developing, implementing and monitoring comprehensive safety policies and procedures on site
  2. Conducting regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards
  3. Providing safety training and education to site personnel to promote a strong safety culture
  4. Investigating and documenting any incidents or accidents, and implementing corrective actions
  5. Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of safety protocols
  6. Maintaining detailed records and reports to comply with all relevant health and safety regulations
  7. Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in site safety practices

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Site Safety Supervisor or in a similar role within the construction industry
  2. Strong understanding of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices
  3. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints and technical documents
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with all site personnel
  5. Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills to address safety-related challenges
  6. Proficient in the use of safety-related software and documentation tools
  7. Certification in construction safety, such as OSHA or NEBOSH, is preferred
