Manager, Production
to join our team in
Melaka

In this position you will be oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring optimal production output, quality, cost efficiency, and compliance with safety standards. You will be implementing best practices to enhance manufacturing performance.

What your role will be?

You will be:

  • Ensure daily manufacturing activities meet production targets for output, quality, and cost efficiency within defined KPIs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles, automation, and digital tools to enhance productivity and reduce waste
  • Train, mentor, and motivate staff to build a high-performing team capable of effective decision-making and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with Process Engineering and QC/QA teams to troubleshoot issues, maintain product specifications, and implement robust problem-solving techniques.
  • Develop and execute plans to minimize downtime and maintain business continuity during disruptions.
  • Enforce adherence to company policies, EHS standards, and risk management procedures, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Uphold high housekeeping standards (5S) across the plant.
  • Lead KPI meetings, analyze production data, and coordinate cross-functional actions to achieve continuous improvement.
  • Lead integration studies and improvement projects to enhance manufacturing capabilities and competitiveness.
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and implement cost-reduction strategies without compromising quality.

What will you bring to Ansell?

  • Degree in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline
  • Hands-on experience in rubber-based products or glove dipping manufacturing.
  • Proven track record in managing production operations and leading teams.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, QC/QA standards, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Understanding of compounding practices and production efficiency optimization.
  • Knowledge of automation systems and digital tools for production monitoring.
  • Exposure to EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) and sustainability practices.
