Assistant Waiter – Job Description

The Assistant Waiter supports the service team in delivering a smooth and pleasant dining experience for all guests. This role assists in preparing the dining area, serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring that all guests' needs are attended to promptly and professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Waiters in serving food and beverages to guests in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Prepare and set up tables, cutleries, and service stations before operational hours.
  • Clear tables efficiently and maintain cleanliness throughout the dining area.
  • Refill water, condiments, and other table necessities during service.
  • Support the team in carrying trays, delivering orders, and ensuring smooth service flow.
  • Monitor guests' needs and promptly communicate requests to the Waiter or Supervisor.
  • Maintain hygiene standards and comply with food safety procedures.
  • Assist in stock replenishment for service equipment and supplies.

Requirements:

  • Minimum high school graduate or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in F&B or hospitality is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Good communication skills and a positive service attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Physically fit and able to stand or walk for long hours.
  • Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Team player with a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM1, RM2,200.00 per month
