Sales Development Representatives (SDRs)
to build our pipeline and accelerate our market presence.

Role Description

The Sales Development Representative role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In this role, you will focus on identifying and generating leads to drive sales growth. You will also build strong relationships with prospects, qualify leads for sales opportunities, and collaborate with the sales team to develop business strategies. The role demands proactive communication and outreach to potential customers, executing sales strategies, and achieving lead conversion targets.

Responsibilities

  1. Perform outbound prospecting via calls, emails, and social platforms to generate new sales opportunities.
  2. Qualify inbound and outbound leads based on ideal customer profile (ICP) and sales criteria.
  3. Book qualified meetings and product demos for Account Executives or founders.
  4. Present and communicate the value of the startup's SaaS product clearly to potential customers.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leads, activities, and outcomes in the CRM system.
  6. Follow up consistently with prospects to nurture interest and move them through the sales funnel.
  7. Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and founders to refine messaging and targeting.
  8. Meet or exceed defined KPIs such as calls made, emails sent, meetings booked, and pipeline generated.
    1. Collect and share customer feedback and market insights to support product and go-to-market improvements.
    1. Support the development and scaling of early-stage sales processes and best practices.

Qualifications

  1. 1–3 years of experience in Sales Development, Inside Sales, or Business Development.
  2. Prior experience in a SaaS startup or technology company is strongly preferred.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  4. Mandarin proficiency is a plus for engaging Mandarin-speaking prospects.
  5. Hands-on experience with outbound prospecting and lead qualification.
  6. Familiarity with CRM systems such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar tools.
  7. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment.
  8. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  9. Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  10. Resilient, coachable, and eager to learn and grow with a high-growth SaaS startup.
