About the role

As a Maintenance Engineer at Mewah Group, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of the company's mechanical equipment and systems. This is a full-time role based in Klang - Port Klang, Selangor, Malaysia. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the company's manufacturing processes.

What you'll be doing

  • Performing scheduled and preventative maintenance on a range of mechanical equipment and systems
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with machinery and implementing corrective actions
  • Conducting regular inspections and assessments to identify potential problems or areas for improvement
  • Collaborating with the production team to minimise downtime and maximise equipment efficiency
  • Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance activities and equipment performance
  • Providing technical guidance and support to other members of the maintenance team
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Engineer or in a similar role
  • Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of industrial machinery and equipment
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Familiarity with preventative maintenance programmes and best practices
  • Certification in relevant maintenance or safety disciplines would be an advantage
