The position is based in our Penang Office in Malaysia.

Job Overview

You will be responsible for day-to-day finance and accounting duties covering retail and property development accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Closing of monthly management accounts, prepare bank reconciliation and journal voucher
  • Carry out Account Payable function including preparing payment voucher, cheque, obtaining authorized signatories, distribution of payment as well as monitoring cash and bank available balances
  • Prepare weekly and monthly management reporting and analysis
  • Prepare audit and tax schedule; liaise with auditor and tax agent on further analysis where required
  • Prepare and monitoring fixed monthly payment such as tax installment, loan interest and petty cash
  • Data entry, filing and administration functions
  • Update fixed asset listing and monthly cost of depreciation
  • Perform day-to-day accounting and finance functions in compliance to internal procedures, accounting standards and tax regulations
  • Undertake any other ad-hoc accounting assignments

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Degree/Advance Diploma/Diploma in Accounting/Finance or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience, preferably in the retail and property development industry
