About the role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Tax Manager or Tax Manager to join our talented team at ALAN YOON ASSOCIATES' in Ipoh, Perak. This is a full-time role that will see you providing expert tax advisory services to our diverse client base within the accounting industry.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and reviewing tax returns and supporting documents for individuals and businesses
  • Conducting tax research and analysis to identify tax planning opportunities for clients
  • Advising clients on tax compliance, tax minimisation strategies and tax implications of business transactions
  • Communicating with tax authorities and representing clients in tax audits and disputes
  • Mentoring and training junior team members on tax-related matters
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and regulations
  • Contributing to the development of the firm's tax service offerings

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of experience in tax advisory or compliance within the accounting industry
  • Thorough understanding of Malaysian tax laws and regulations
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax issues
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Proven experience in managing tax projects and delivering high-quality work
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team
