Job Title: Level 1 Network Operation Engineer

Work Location: Kuching, Sarawak

Working Hours: Shift based, 24/7 operation

Key Responsibilities

1. First-Line Support & Fault Management

• Perform initial troubleshooting and resolve network issues according to standard procedures.

• Log, track, and escalate trouble tickets to higher support levels when required.

• Conduct regular health checks and system monitoring to ensure optimal network performance.

1. Operations & Maintenance (O&M)

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly routine maintenance on network equipment.

• Ensure configuration backups are performed and stored according to company policy.

• Provide on-site support or supervision when required for installation, corrective actions, or vendor coordination.

• Manage and request spare parts needed for maintenance or fault recovery.

1. Change & Performance Management

• Participate in change request reviews, ensuring network changes are implemented safely and accurately.

• Monitor network performance indicators (KPIs) and take action to maintain service quality

Requirement

Experience: 0–3 years in network operations or related telecom field.

• Technical Skills:

• CCNA or similar certification is added advantage

• Basic understanding of telecommunication systems (DWDM, Access, *Core, Transmission, or RAN).

• Familiar with O&M tools and standard troubleshooting procedures.

• Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.

• Good communication and reporting skills in English.

• Able to work independently and in a team, under a 24/7 shift environment.

Job Title: Maintenance NOC Manager

Location: Kuching, Sarawak

Key Responsibilities

General Responsibilities

a) Lead and supervise the overall maintenance NOC operations to ensure uninterrupted network performance and service delivery.

b) Plan and allocate manpower and resources to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

c) Ensure all maintenance work complies with telecommunication industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

d) Enforce strict adherence to health and safety standards during all site activities.

e) Review and clear all Purchase Orders (POs) related to maintenance and prepare workload for billing submission.

f) Supervise Field Engineers and NOC Engineers, ensuring maintenance tickets and updates comply with severity-based SLAs.

g) Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans to improve network reliability.

h) Prepare contingency plans for critical infrastructure failures or emergencies.

i) Monitor and control inventory of network components, spare parts, and tools.

j) Conduct technical training and upskilling sessions for maintenance teams.

k) Generate maintenance reports, incident summaries, and performance analyses for management and clients.

l) Report monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including:

• Network Uptime

• MTTR (Mean Time to Repair)

• Maintenance Efficiency

• Represent the company in weekly and monthly meetings with clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Preferably candidate with CCNA or similar certification. PMP Certification is an added advantage
• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field.

b) Experience: Minimum 5–8 years' experience in network maintenance or NOC operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of fiber optic networks, Access, DWDM, OLT, IP systems, and related technologies.

• Experience with network monitoring tools and ticket management systems.

• Understanding of preventive maintenance frameworks and network performance metrics.

• Must be based in Kuching, Sarawak and willing to travel to various project sites.

• Able to work extended or off-hours for urgent maintenance when required.
