Responsibilities:

  • Develop Southeast Asia (SEA) regional brand product merchandising mix for the Salomon Business Unit, ensure merchandising strategy is properly coordinated to the local teams in every country and implemented efficiently to achieve the organization's goals.
  • Prepare the seasonal product range tailored to the local needs in every country, including but not limited to Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, develop the quarterly range calendar release date, and determine the merchandising allocation for all channels.
  • Work closely with China Headquarters' product development teams to address SEA market needs, study and report regional trends, and monitor sportswear and shoes localization plan progress for the regional market.
  • Establish long-term vision for different brands and categories growth, and develop the seasonal merchandising plan to achieve targets, and ensure Salomon's healthy image in the market.
  • Conduct consumer and market research in the region, develop the database of analysis on our global competitors and local brands.
  • Manage sales/buy plan forecasting, sales, and margin targets based on regional requirements.
  • Work closely with the sales operations team to ensure that product relevance emphasis is combined with the financial planning side.
  • Provide monthly category sales, sell-thru, and inventory reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business, Economics, or any related course
  • Relevant experience in the fashion or apparel industries will be advantageous.
  • Coordinate and communicate clearly between country local teams and regional teams
  • Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task.
  • Business acumen, strategic inventory planning and negotiation skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with high proficiency in both Mandarin and English languages in order to liaise with colleagues in China and SEA countries.
  • Passion for sports is a must.
