Job Description: PROTÉGÉ Safety Officer

Position: PROTÉGÉ Safety Officer

Employment Type: Contract (PROTÉGÉ Programme)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in monitoring and implementing workplace safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Support the HSE team in conducting safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Assist in identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions.
  • Participate in toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and safety training sessions.
  • Help prepare safety reports, incident reports, and documentation required by the HSE department.
  • Assist in promoting safety awareness among employees and contractors.
  • Support in ensuring compliance with OSHA, DOSH, and company safety standards.
  • Provide administrative support related to safety documentation, permits, and records.
  • Assist with emergency response activities and drills.
  • Perform any other HSE-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply (PROTÉGÉ Programme requirement).
  • Basic knowledge of OSHA, safety practices, and workplace regulations is an added advantage.
  • Good communication, teamwork, and reporting skills.
  • Willing to learn, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Advantage (optional):

  • NIOSH Certificate / SHO-related training (not mandatory but beneficial).
  • Experience in internship or project work related to safety.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Fresh graduate

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM2,000.00 per month
