Job Description: Pickleball Coach

Position Summary

The Pickleball Coach is responsible for delivering high-quality coaching sessions and guiding players in the development of fundamental and advanced pickleball skills. The position involves planning training programs, ensuring a safe playing environment, and supporting the overall physical, technical, and tactical growth of participants. The coach is expected to uphold professional standards, promote sportsmanship, and contribute to the positive reputation of the institution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Coaching & Instruction

  • Plan, organize, and conduct structured pickleball training sessions for various age groups and skill levels.
  • Teach proper techniques including grip, strokes, serving, footwork, positioning, and game strategies.
  • Provide constructive feedback and demonstrate techniques to support player improvement.
  • Develop training drills that enhance skill development, coordination, and game performance.

2. Player Development

  • Assess players' abilities and create appropriate development plans.
  • Monitor progress and adjust training approaches according to individual needs.
  • Support players in building confidence, discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

3. Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all training activities comply with safety standards and facility regulations.
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment and playing areas to minimize hazards.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.

4. Administration & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate attendance records and player progress reports.
  • Assist in planning and executing tournaments, internal competitions, or events.
  • Communicate effectively with management, parents, and relevant stakeholders regarding schedules, performance updates, and program requirements.

5. Operational Support

  • Promote the pickleball program and encourage player participation.
  • Stay updated on current coaching techniques, pickleball rules, and industry best practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support program operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proven experience playing or coaching pickleball; certification is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of pickleball rules, scoring systems, and coaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to instruct individuals and groups.
  • High level of professionalism, patience, and enthusiasm for sports coaching.
  • Physically fit and able to demonstrate techniques and lead active sessions.
  • Basic first aid certification is preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate

Pay: RM2, RM3,500.00 per month
