About the role
We are seeking an experienced Account Assistant to join our team in Ipoh, Perak. This full-time position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and providing support to the accounting department at PERKHIDMATAN PERKONGSIAN GLOBAL SDN BHD'.
What you'll be doing
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments and receipts
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts on a regular basis
- Prepare monthly financial reports and statements
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts
- Support the month-end and year-end closing process
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial information is accurate and up-to-date
- Comply with all relevant accounting standards, policies and procedures
- Any other duties assigned by the management when required
What we're looking for
- Minimum 2 years' experience as an Accounts Assistant or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures
- Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting or finance
