Job Summary:

The QA Engineer at SRI is responsible for monitoring daily production processes and output to ensure compliance with international firefighting product standards. These standards are governed by overseas higher-level notified/certification bodies.

The role involves coordinating with external auditors—both local and overseas—to present current products, factory operations, and process controls, ensuring they meet specific regulatory requirements.

Additionally, this position offers opportunities for skill development in international standards, factory control processes, project management, and career advancement over time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor daily production processes and output to ensure product compliance.
  • Conduct in-process and outgoing product inspections as needed.
  • Observe production processes and products to detect nonconformities.
  • Perform internal audits.
  • Prepare for audits and liaise with external auditors (local and overseas).
  • Review product drawings and provide technical support when necessary.
  • Assist in issuing Certificates of Conformity and Test Reports.
  • Support the Head of QA with administrative tasks.
  • Assist in new product development projects.
  • Communicate with notified/certification bodies as required.
  • Participate in product testing, which involves multiple trials and adjustments—strong problem-solving skills and resilience are advantageous.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Manufacturing, Material, Process, Mechanical, or a related engineering field (excluding Infrastructure & Architecture).
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency in reading and sketching mechanical drawings. (Background of mechanical drawing)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong mindset and resilience to handle extensive product testing.
  • Willingness to work overtime when required.
