Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the smooth operation of all the banquets, events and functions in the Hotel.
  • Supervise and set-up of banquet areas, including furniture arrangement, table settings, and decorations, to meet event requirements and hotel standards.
  • Ensure proper coordination with Kitchen, Stewarding, Housekeeping, Engineering and other departments for all necessary arrangements and preparation for each function based on the event orders.
  • Oversee the seamless execution of the event's service flow, ensuring food and beverages are served on time to meet guest satisfaction.
  • Communicate with guests, handle guest complaints and provide effective solutions.
  • Attends to guest requests or inquiries regarding food and services and immediately takes all required actions.
  • Ensure all event spaces, equipment, and supplies are maintained, clean, and meet hygiene standards.

Skills & Qualifications

Supervisory Skills: The ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.

Communication Skills: Good in verbal and written communication.

Problem-Solving: The ability to promptly address guest issues, resolve conflicts, and handle unexpected situations.

Hospitality Experience: At least 8 years of related work experience in the hotel industry, with knowledge of banquet operations and service standards.

Education: SPM, STPM, Certificate, Diploma or equivalent.
